Cowdray Estate

Located in Midhurst at the heart of the South Downs National Park, Cowdray Estate is a treat for any lover of British history. Home to the ruins of a magnificent Tudor mansion, visitors can tour and explore all the estate has to offer. Stepping back into the 16th century will build up an appetite, so why not visit the Cowdray farm shop and café to enjoy some local produce. If you would rather, you can pack up your own picnic and dine in the shadow of the impressive building. The estate belongs to Viscount Cowdray and here in this stunning setting, all manner of leisure activities are on offer – from clay pigeon shooting to fly fishing to wildlife outings. It is also widely regarded as the home of British Polo and has its own spectacular downland golf course.
