To get the best of the views, put on your walking boots or running shoes and head for the hills. If you’re a mountain biker, there are superb off-road tracks among rolling chalk hills, as well as miles of trails and bridleways criss-crossing the surrounding countryside. Road cyclists are well-catered for with two of the toughest hill climbs in the country and there are a huge range of watersports on offer.
