➜Find a Grant – New Portal Service

There is a new Find a Grant portal on the .Gov website for individuals and organisations to find and apply for general government grants. You can use keywords and filters to search for grant opportunities to suit your needs. Helpfully you can also subscribe for notifications and apply through the service.

➜Southern Water Grant for Small Businesses

As part of their Investing for the future and new Business Plan,  Southern Water are offering small grants funds for small businesses with a plan to save water. Deadline end of December.

➜South Downs National Park: Health & Wellbeing Travel Grants

Organisations or community groups can apply for a grant of up to £250 (to cover transport costs ) into specific sites in South Downs National Park. This comes in a move to increase time spent in outdoor spaces, benefitting mental health and wellbeing. Organisations are eligible for one grant per year.

➜Shared Prosperity Fund – Brighton & Hove

Is your business also registered in Brighton and Hove? You may be eligible to bid for grants. There are five programmes to choose from: community facilities improvements, parks and green spaces, creativity, culture & heritage, small business innovation and business decarbonisation.

➜4G Mobile Broadband Voucher Scheme

This West Sussex County Council scheme supports West Sussex businesses suffering from very poor broadband speeds by funding an alternative mobile broadband solution.  An eligible property must be a registered business address (which can include home-based businesses), with existing speeds of 10mbps or less. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis if existing speeds are slightly faster.

Workplace Charging Scheme

This is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support of up to 75%  for up front costs of buying and installing EV charge points. It’s open to businesses, charities and public sector organisations with eligibility criteria.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme

An energy saving opportunity for businesses with small buildings to switch their heating systems to a greener solution. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme supports the decarbonisation of homes and small non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. The scheme provides upfront capital grants of up to £7,500 to encourage property owners to replace existing fossil fuel heating with more efficient, low carbon heating systems including heat pumps and biomass boilers. You can get from £5,000 to £7,500. Closing date 31 December 2027.
