Unmissable festivals and events in West Sussex

  1. Goodwood Revival – this must-see three-day event, held from 7-9 September, sees festival goers descend on the famous motor racing circuit dressed in vintage outfits to watch the UK’s most historic motor racing event. A fabulous, frivolous weekend of entertainment.
  2. Chichester Festival Theatre – Festival 2018 offers theatre, performance art, tours, workshops and musical events. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Daniel Evans and Executive Director Rachel Tackley, there’s a mix of classic and contemporary plays and musicals. The annual Festival season runs from April to November.
  3. Worthing Art Trail – around 300 artists take part in this yearly event, showcasing sculpture, screen prints, jewellery, ceramics, paintings and video installations. Over 50 venues open their doors to the general public from 17 June-2 July, so don’t miss your chance to snap up some unique artworks.
  4. Ardingly Antiques & Collectors Fair – vintage lovers rejoice! Here you’ll find over 1,500 stalls packed with antiques, curiosities, vintage clothing and furniture. Get here early to grab the best bargains and stay all day. Held five times a year in April, June, July, September and November, it’s the biggest event of its kind in the south east.
  5. Arundel festival – street entertainers take over the medieval town of Arundel from 18-27 August at this yearly festival that has been going for nearly 40 years. A multi-arts festival with music, food, poetry, theatre, art and dancing. Don’t miss the Dragon Boat race on the River Arun, as competitors fight it out to be crowned the champion.
  6. Steyning Country Fair – Steyning is a small village that is well worth a visit during the country fair. Step back in time and discover the heritage of Steyning with traditional arts and crafts, live music acts and dancing, livestock displays, demonstrations, dog show, stalls, and a variety of local produce on sale.
  7. Worthing Food Festival – foodies will be in heaven from 15-16 September when they’ll be able to feast on a wide range of local food and drink from all around the region. Alongside the food there’ll be demonstration stages with chefs showing off their culinary skills. A real treat for the senses.
