Active and outdoors

Home to the South Downs, West Sussex is the ideal place to get away from it all. You’ll be taking in some of the freshest air and most inspirational views. To get the best of the views, put on your walking boots or running shoes and head for the hills. If you’re a mountain biker, there are superb off-road tracks among rolling chalk hills, as well as miles of trails and bridleways criss-crossing the surrounding countryside. Road cyclists are well-catered for with two of the toughest hill climbs in the country and there are a huge range of watersports on offer.
